The place looks very clean! The food on the steam platters looked appealing and fresh. On top of that, they have a variety of entrees, side dishes and desserts. The servers behind the buffet-style serving tables were clad in clean clothes and wearing face masks, gloves and hair nets. We got chicken fried chicken and grilled chicken plates. They both were juicy and savory. The green beans, potatoes and jalapeño cheese macaroni were seasoned just right. Definitely, a great experience! First time here in, at least, 10 years.

Stopped here for a quick bite during lunch time. Staff was courteous and friendly. I had the fried fish that was very good. Great cafeteria food and will stop here again. Would have given 5 stars but food was a bit pricey for the portions.

Good food, plain and simple. For the price, beats most burger joints. Better for you. Fair selection of different dishes. We've done Thanksgiving there too. Sure beats cooking and then the clean up afterwards!

The service and food is excellent....and so much of it!

It's a good cafeteria. My waiter Monty was very attentive. The food was decent. I had the fried fish. I just wasn't blown away. It was good food. I would eat there again.

Being from Dallas I have grown up with many cafeterias in my life. Luby's is one that stood out for me when I was growing up. But they're not in my neighborhood anymore. So when I saw one in Clute we had to stop by. Great food. Very good service. Both my wife and I were very satisfied. When we pass through again we will be stopping by at Luby's

This place was alright. Been here twice. Once on Thanksgiving which was completely packed. Waited in line for almost an hour. Which was a good sign. The second time was around Christmas. The food is always good. Lots to choose from. My eyes are always bigger then my stomach. Reasonably great prices for the amount of food. Service could use a little customer service tips but all around enjoyable.

...went there Thanksgiving. 5 stars! ...went there today for Christmas. Ordered the same meal. The WARMEST thing on my plate was the CRANBERRY SAUCE! They clearly weren't ready for customers at 11. Parts of my turkey leg, and dressing, felt like they'd just come out of the fridge. Today's lunch was like finding coal in my stocking.

It's Luby's. They do a great job filling their niche. Large selection, appealing presentation for cafeteria style food, decent quality, not highly seasoned, and good service... exactly what you would expect.

I've never had any problems with Luby's. The food is good and the staff is great. I've eaten there a lot of times and will continue.

The fish is wonderful. Love their tartar sauce too. Actually everything I have are there is really good. Super nice staff also. Always top off my meal with the bread pudding. Yummmm

Second year in a row to get our Thanksgiving Feast from Luby's. They cook everything...yummy, convenient and less work. Thank the Lord for Luby's.

Breakfast was good. Soft bacon and limited selection at breakfast.

This was my first time at a lubys. I was not happy with the restaurant because there was clearly a new person working and didn't know what he was doing but no one around him was helping him out. So it took me around 15mins to go through the line when I was the only one in the line. The food was blan and tasted like it didn't have seasoning. I got coconut cream pie after I ate and the pie crust was very soggy and was very expensive piece to eat a third of it. The only reason why I gave it two stars is because the waiter that was walking around was very nice and checked on us.

Nice food and people

Fish almondine tasted old. The greens were nothing but stalks and the pinto beans were the best part of the meal. Too pricey for what you get.

Great food and service

Great old fashioned comfort food. A little pricey but, you can get daily specials at a great price.

Luby's is always good. You get a favorite of choices, fresh vegetables and wonderful desserts.

I was told no rare roast beef but prime rib and baked potato + 2 sides. When I arrived it was all different. Never will I go to any lubys again.

Great food good variety. Waiters more than happy to take your tray to a table. Was there with a vet and they took real good care of him.

The selection was great. The food looked excellent but the taste was off. The place was clean and well,maintained. The staff was helpful and friendly. The food was the biggest disappointment. Even the bread pudding was not good. I only took one bite. The mashed potatoes were very watery. The biscuit I paid extra for could have put a dent in drywall it was so hard.

Ordered online but when I arrived they did not have what I ordered, so they offered me another dish. Then I asked for tartar sauce and did not get any. Rolls were placed in a small plastic bag and smashed.

Everything was to my satisfaction.Nice and promptly service.Pleasure visiting there.

I've been eating at Luby's since I was a child. After 30+ years it's still holding strong. Great food,, friendly staff,, great experience everytime.

So I've been hearing sout this place for a while now service is great but food is nasty. I had the steak with Spanish rice and stuffed jalapenos and sausage. He only good thing I had was the roll. I do not reccomend this restaurant

I have foods I'm allergic to and I couldnt eat the broccoli seasoned with black pepper because of my allergy to black pepper They gave me a number...then prepared more broccoli without pepper and added more cheese sauce. One of the cooks stopped earlier to help out on the line brought my special ordered food to my table. This restaurant is truly an awesome place to eat

Prices seem a tad high for quality and portion size. Chicken fried Steak was really chewy and carrot salad was very runny. But then lady who waited on me was kind even in her exhaustion and patient.
